[BF3Blog] EA tries to manipulate Battlefield 3 scores in Norway - Page 2

They must obviously be fanboys, therefore I understand what they are doing. /sarcasm

Well... I understand the Call of Duty fanboy part. I do not approve of the with-holding due to bad reviews.

They're not fabricating anything and they're not reviewing their own product. They're just giving it to people who MAY have a higher chance of giving the game a better rating. Which isn't bias.

but Battlefield isn't really about SP... but I agree with his stance... I'm mainly a Single Player Gamer

In some cases maybe but I would say that public opinion prior to release have a much heavier impact on score and this is far from the first time a company has hand picked reviewers to make the scores better in some cases even threatening the review companies by saying they would cut them off from future pre release copies of other games. Nothing really illegal or overly fabricated just shady.

Think about that for a moment.
They are making sure that the people who review it have a higher chance of giving it a better score, and withholding it from those who dont. Distribution and control of information is the most effective way of creating Bias.

Fabricating was a poor choice of words, but not entirely inappropriate when a company is hard at work making sure their game gets good reviews by only giving it so some places.

Fixed for you.

Lol if this was Activision with Call of Duty this thread would be all over them.

But since its BF3 it's all good.

I never listen to idiot reviewers anyway. They are just like movie reviewers, and these people are mostly failed actors or writers that carry this bitterness into this line of work to get back at the companies that had the common sense not to hire them to create for them. EA seriously should not care. Even if every single reviewer gave the game a bad review it would not impact sales much at all. I mean, crack gets a bad review all the time, and people still sell their babies to buy that crap. This is no different.
