Im thinking its a bad BIOPS chip/motherboard but i have no idea where to get a new one, i saw this one site that was selling Toshiba A215 motherboards but they were selling them for 250$ a pop. Where can i get a new one, or can you help me fix it.
The A series has a rather quirky BIOS, your best bet would be to disconnect the CMOS battery and remove all power sources from it for a while. Since most of these laptops have the CMOS battery soldered on, you may have to google what you will need to short out to reset it.
I think this might fix it because I had an A135 that had very few successful boots, I shorted the CMOS and did not experience further BIOS problems. If this fixes it, download the latest BIOS to it and flash it, this might eliminate further problems.
