That is interesting. I wonder what it was that actually wrecked your board? I try to educate myself as much as possible and not be wreckless and ignorant, but I never have much more than a basic understanding of what a lot of these parameters mean. I think I'm pretty smart until I hear some of the senior members talk about concepts that I've never even heard of.

Basically it was a Gigabyte board and the quality of them seems to have nose dived a bit. One of the VRM's fried itself due to the stress. Reason I could lower the vcore is because ROG boards are 10x better then Gigabyte but also rather expensive.

I nabbed my P8Z68-V for about $165 bucks. Asus boards are the best! It seems people with Asus boards are able to hit clock speeds with less Vcore. The people with the "Golden Chips" often have Asus boards.
