Are any current generation GPUs

Capable of being flashed to a Quadro BIOS?
I'm asking for a pretty particular reason, and no its not to get performance gains in applications that limit themselves to workstation cards (*cough* maya, Photoshop, etc) because those have workarounds. I'm asking because the Nvidia Drivers limit you to 24-bit color with a consumer GPU and allow you 30-bit color (which all 3 of my monitors support) with workstation GPUs (Quadro)
Its kind of pointless having these beautiful monitors when they aren't even displaying their full range of color. And it would be even more pointless to buy a workstation GPU that isn't any more powerful than a consumer one at the ridiculous prices they charge right now.

I thought that the higher-bit color was one of the few hardware differences between the workstation and consumer cards. (I could most definitely be wrong).

To my knowledge the only hardware stress caused by the higher bit color is that it increases the amount of utilized vram (30-bits per pixel vs 24 bits per pixel) I'm going to see if INF-Modded Tesla/Quadro drivers enable the 30-bit color option.

So, I presume that it works:

Can anybody verify that the 32-bit option is unavailable with a non-modded driver?

Ah, I see that the 32-bit option is just 24-bit with 8 alpha bits for transparency. So no, it doesn't work apparently, this may be due to the lack of Display Port. I know in the past I was able to enable it by flashing a different BIOS and running the Quadro drivers (GTX 280)
