Gtx 570 Black Screen/DX 11 Crash

Is this pretty much common for all brands? I had to raise my voltage to 1050v to to stop dx11 from crashing. Although my oc is stable at 1025v but once I play anything with dx11, BAMMMMMM

Try switching to a higher end powersupply, something with at least 800 watts from Corsair. Update your drivers too. Your PSU doesn't meet nVidia's minimum requirements for the GTX570.

This psu is plenty enough for this card...

My best guess would be on the drivers, I've updated to the latest beta for BF3, and my DX11 games run perfectly. If not, try running some test benchmarks that require DX11, see if they run normally.

Yeah, I don't think so.

You're running that PSU on the ragged edge, that is for sure. However, I don't think it is your problem. DX11 is much more stressful on your GPU and all you did was find that your OC was not as stable as you thought it was. Add voltage or throttle back are the only choices.

Update: Sigh, this card is crashing on DX11 games... specially BF3, have to down clock to 760/2000 to make it stable or raise voltage to 1038v. Default clocks are 780/2000

Well it's not only you. I tried 4 different cards using my current sig and dx11 crashes very often. It does crash during the game, but it does crash when it tries to initialize. Sometimes I still have to try few times to get into bf3 and once you're in the game, dx11 won't crash.

With down clock though, I can play BF3 for 3-4 hours straight without issues... It's just sad I can't overclock it. Will prolly exchange it with a 6950 2gb.

EDIT: it's not only BF3, any other DX11 games... Dirt 3, Metro, Deus Ex HR...

I see no problem in raising the voltage a bit, I run mine at 1075mV and no problems at all.
