Max safe core voltage for 580 Lightning?

I can't seem to find a definite answer for this. I have searched the forums and I have seen answers from 1.15mV, to 1.11mV, to the max allowed by Afterburner (which is +200mV for the Lightning).

I am hitting a wall at 920/1840/2100 @ +112 mV (1.143) and can't go any higher at that voltage.

Suggestions as to how high I can push this? I am testing my OC via GPU Tool and looking for artifacts.

That card has no problem handling 1.15v on air. I push 1.213v on my cards 24/7, but I'm on water.

Keep your temps below 80'C and the 1.15v will be fine.

Please note that we ran 1.35 V through the card, which was blazing hot at that point but never showed any sign of weakness or explosions like the GTX 590 we reviewed recently - where reader comments then claimed "GF110 can't take 1.2 V"."

Yep this is the same for most of the GF110 based high end cards made for OC'ing. My Matrix cards would take up to 1.250 then really fall off after that. But I was able to get 1050mhz on air at that point.

The card can take the voltage, you just have to keep it cool. I only ran mine on air the first day that I got it. It ran surprisingly cool, but had trouble hitting 1ghz with around 1.1 to 1.15v. I'm not sure exactly where. I do know that I was getting the same grey screen that I sometimes get when the card is on LN2. It tells me temps are too high. Once I started testing the card on water, it didn't get the grey screens I was getting on air.

Thanks everyone for the replies I'm a little sad because it seems a lot of people are getting much higher core speeds between 1.1-1.15 than I am. My card just seems to want much more voltage than all the other Lightnings I hear about :-/
