Cm 690 ii adv optimal airflow

hi I have cm 690 adv side window edition

I have 2 build in my mind and need advice which one is better

positive (maybe I still need rear fan, if I don't use push-pull config in my cooler next time???)

and this is what this case originally designed for

negative

I don't use side fan because it doesn't have dust filter and maybe can disrupt the airflow

I would go with the second option personally.

One thing I tried with my CM 590 was have the first top fan intake and the second top fan exhaust. The first top fan would push cold air right in front of the CPU cooler then the second top fan, along with the rear fan, pulls the hot air out. Might be worth a try.

hmm you choose 2nd option, negative pressure right... btw thanks for input

but, if you use front top fan as intake and rear top fan as exhaust, whether the hot air is not sucked from the rear to the front and make this setup not effective, or do you have good temp with that setup?

Yeah I had pretty good temps with that setup. If you had the case in a enclosed space though (like under a desk) then it might not work so well.

Realistically there probably won't be a major difference in temps regardless of how you have your fans set up, and you can always switch the fans around and see if you get better temps, just experiment until you find a setup that works.
