Having an Athlon 64 you didn't have to install XP 64bit. In fact I believe some of the performance gain by the Athlon 64 was because of it's 64-bit design. You had a chip designed for 64-bit running in 32-bit OS so it could handle the loads a lot better presented to it. One of the reasons you had to install the Dual Core Optimizer from AMD was due to DOS Games and alot of 16-bit applications (still in use at the time) would fly at warp speed tongue.gif

So if we got a 128-bit CPU image how a 32-bit OS and applications would fly tongue.gif
