all i can say is..i bought an fx 4100..and i cannot believe the suck that it exudes..wowwwww at 4.5 ghz..it's slower at hyper-pi than my athlon 2 x 4 620..that smacks of major suck to me GRR..anyone wanna try it? $65 it's yours

But its ok, i'm sure you were just missing the new special great BIOS update that makes Bulldozer 10000x better than Sandy Bridge.

Intel does have better PR, though. many of those same OEMs likes Intel better anyways because the guys from AMD were morons, and AMD doesn;t seems to make a concerted effort to actually convince OEMs to buy their chips.
Similarly, Intel works more closely with software manufacturers when they are making a new product. Their engineers worked with Microsoft to get support for Hyperthreading.
Dell is the biggest culprit. Back in the day, they were getting kick backs from Intel to sell Intel, even when AMD was the better CPU. They eventually settle on Intel exclusively for awhile. It's not that AMD were morons, but a player like Dell is just in bed with Intel. You can't break a marriage like that.
