Asus VG236H for $300?

Thread Starter
A buddy of mine is getting rid of his lightly used Asus VG236H. He wants $300 for it.
Newegg link

Should I pull the trigger on this? OR can I find a better monitor for the same price/cheaper?

Edit: Addressing the 3D on this monitor: I've never used/seen a 3D monitor for gaming so I don't know if I would even ever use that feature - I kind of view the whole 3d thing as a gimmick. I am mainly interested in the monitor for the 120hz capabilities.

yeah

120hz is smooth as butter. its got a glossy screen if you can live with that, apart from that it looks very stylish.

Some say the 3d is beyond words. Others say its still average.

Id definatly go for it, i just ordered one for 700 nz.

here is a rave review of it. If I was you I would definately get it. Just make sure you dont have any lighting behind your screen and you will be stoked.

Basically its a bright, vibrant display, that is extremely smooth and fast for gaming, decent size, adjustable height, sleek stylish look, even without the 3d vision its a good monitor, but apparently the 3d vision is awesome, I cannot wait to try it for myself on friday when mine arrives.

If it had a matte screen and was a bit bigger, it would probably be the perfect choice for a current day gaming monitor. But thats what the VG278h is going to be for. Apart from those two minor flaws, its a wicked monitor held in high regard.
