so, indirectly, you're saying that you will not buy the game because of the need for origin to run the game?

sorry kid, but you have more problems in your life you need to worry about then playing games if something like that makes not you want to play it.

grow up.

If the real game is anything like the beta, then you won't even require origin to play. The game can be accessed directly through the battlog website alone, which makes it no more inaccessible than this forum. Its unbelievable that anyone would find that too time-consuming, and if you do you probably shouldn't be playing video games in the first place.

I was not aware of this, I was under the impression that it was necessary to launch the game.

exactly stated. only necessary to launch it. i dont understand why its that difficult to put it on autostartup and autlogin when you turn your computer on and let it run in the background.

if you computer can run bf3, your computer can handle an extra use of 30mb of memory for origin to run in the background.

the fuss people put up about dumb things is absurb

Now I think people are mixing up what I'm saying...

I'm basically wondering why people want it on Steam, if it will only open up Origin anyway. But if you don't actually need Origin open, then that's totally different.

I'd like to hear a few people's opinions on the following:

Can we expect a "Welp, its 12:01 AM October 25th, BF3 is ready to play!" type of deal, or will there be something akin to "BF3 should be unlocked about 9am-12pm".

That will dictate whether or not I have class that day.

people want it on steam because they feel they need to have all of their digital games on 1 service/app, which is understandable. it would be nice.

the only problem is that its not going to be like that at this moment. EA wants their own digital service.

i wish people would just be content in being able to play the game, it really doesnt take much at all to run origin, why bother complaining about it to the degree of talking up threats of not buying the game because it is not on steam. such childish and irrational stubborn actions. they MUST not have been around during the launch of steam.

Remove the middleman:
-Open Origin
-Launch BF3
-Launches browser
-Launches game.
or you can just create a a shortcut for BF3.exe, and when you click on it, it will do all of the above aromatically.

Well, I'm assuming everyone is going to be rushing into the game at 12:00 tuesday? Unfortunately for me I'll have to wait in line for the midnight release. Hopefully it wont be like a COD fanboy campout.
