Probably doing it in stages over the day so everyone doesn't download at once

That's probable. Or maybe the Back to Karkand expansion is not preloaded through non-Origin pre-orders.....

I wonder if I can pre-load with my Gamestop pre-order. Time to do some customer service calls.

Remove the middleman:
-Open Origin
-Launch BF3
-Launches browser
-Launches game.
Remove the unnecesarry Bullcrap:
Open PC
Launch Game
Play

You can just bookmark Battlelog, join a server, and it'll automagically do everything else. No need to even keep the Origin icon anywhere in sight.

Downloading at 10 MB/s. If nothing else Origin has a nice GUI and solid DL rates (~5.5MB/s on my Crysis 2 DL earlier)

Also, they sent me 4 e-mails to let me know the pre-load was available

The total downloaded amount ended up being 15.4GB BTW. I'm guessing that includes the expansions?
