7K1000.D vs. WD Black 1TB?

Here's the choice I'm looking at:

Hitachi 7K1000.D $66
WD Black 1TB $83

Which one would you choose? thinking.gif

Hitachi just because it's not THAT much of a difference. Not worth it for the price imo. If you don't care about the money then WD. Why not.

Go with the Hitachi. I know they've had their problems in the past but they seem to be doing much better now. Also the Hitachi 7K1000.D is a single platter drive whereas the WD Black is not. The single platter of the Hitachi will make it much faster.
