HD6850 Crossfire Overclock help needed

Hi, I have a MSi Cyclone 6850 and VTX 3d 6850 ref in CFX
I want to overclock the VTX3d 6850(775/1000..ref clocks) to the factory overclocked settings of the Cyclone 860/1100

Msi cyclone is my main card, for temp reasons...
How can I go about overclocking the VTX 6850?
Overdrive?
find a stable mem clock and then downclock and then find a stable core clock and then, use them both overclocked?

MSI afterburner is one of the most widely used GPU OC apps: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Ok, I got the VTX 6850 to 830/1100(Cyclone @ 860/1100) in Overdrive and ran MSI kombuster for a few minutes
-no artifacts
Stock voltages, does this mean the OC is stable?
EDIT: played Crysis warhead for a bit MAX 72C with Vsync
