Alesis Monitor One MK1 Reference Studio Monitors?

Thread Starter
I was at my buddies house the other day, and he has these monitors sitting in his room. He also has the reference Amp for it from Alesis, the RA-100, I guess it came with some keyboard set he bought.

Anyways, I wanted to pick them up from him...but I wanted to ask you guys a few questions first. Both tweeters have the cone poked in, likely from when he was younger or something...for some reason kids love to do that rolleyes.gif
What's it going to cost to replace these with something else that compares? Or can I just like, stick a vacuum up to it and suck them back out? tongue.gif

Second question, is considering the above, what's a fair price to pay for the speakers? How about including the amp too? I've got an NAD 7130 I could power them without that Amp, but I figure the reference Amp will sound the best.

These are them, the blue mk1's not the black mk2's

And I'm pretty sure this was the amp, although I thought it was blue as well

Yes you can use a vacuum to fix the damage to the tweeters, be extra careful though as they are quite delicate and you could easily destroy them. Another method is to use something sticky and "pull" them back, something such as blutac might do the trick.
