Quick question about flashing GPU BIOS

I'm having trouble Flashing my 460 BIOS. I finished my edited BIOS and they should be working correctly. and My USB is bootable.


Whenever i boot from the USB it says:


Starting....

C:\nvflash Modded 460 Bios.rom
This Program cannot be run in DOS mode.

I think the problem is the way your bios file is named. Either use underscores or make it simpler(1 word)

Just tested with confirmed working BIOS and I get the same error. I'm must be doing something wrong here's what my USB file looks like

isn't there supposed to be another file named cwspdmi.exe in your boot drive?

This what I'm getting now..

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I corrected that error with my USB drive I have that file in there now. I also made that Autoexec.bat file.

It says C:\ that means it's searching in my C drive correct? My USB is (F:)
And my User file is on my (D:) drive

ummm try naming it exactly like your regular 460 rom file. other idea is to put them all on your flash drive and then or at least in the same partition and folder(not sure if they are alreday or not)

umm..try typing.."nvflash.exe" that might help..put everything on your falsh drive..you do have a bootable dos flash drive rigged up,right?

Thanks +rep all i figured it out. I think there was something going on with my partitions and it was picking up the nvflash that was on my desktop or something but i put everything in dos from scratch and didnt do anything automatically and it worked.

I flashed a 8400GS into a 8500GT before, but I did it in windows on drive C without reebots and USB, Floppy or CD boots...
