New monitor or 3ds?

Thread Starter
Hi, I have some money and want a 3ds or a new monitor. As you can tell from my sig my current monitor is crap, but I don't know if it will be worth the upgrade. I have actually heard that my 6950 will run better in some games with a higher resolution. I also have been thinking about getting a 3ds, this would cost more ($250 in Australia, and the monitor would be about $170). What do you think i should get?

Its obviously up to you what your priority is, if you are into computer gaming, then a nice monitor is essential, as it is going to effect the way that you see things more than anything else that you can buy there is no replacement for a good high quality monitor, if you could care less about a nice monitor, then sure go buy some other toy, but I think its crazy to have a nice computer and a terrible monitor, just my 2 cents

Even if you're only looking at a 1080p TN panel, I'd say it's still worth it to go with the monitor. Just compare the amount of hours you'll be staring at your monitor compared to the amount that you'll be using the 3DS.

You'll benefit from the monitor much more unless you are crazily addicted to the 3DS.
