i3 2100
XFX 6770
4GB Corsair 1333mhz Memory
Gigabyte H61 Mobo
500w Corsair Builder PSU

Would there be any any bottlenecks between anything?

That 2100 is going to be the limiting factor in that. If your near a microcenter id spend $20 more and at least go i5. And if you are getting a GPU i would say go for a P67 board like this.

I'd say that looks like a fairly solid budget build, yes. 500w is heaps for those components. The CPU might be a bit of a bottleneck for the GPU, but it shouldn't reduce the performance by much at all. If it does you could always overclock it a little bit.

Have you actually tried 2100 yourselves?

To OP, it is a very solid build you got there.

solid build, GPU would be the bottleneck, i3 2100 can hold up a gtx 560 ti/amd 6950 just fine

Yeah, I was gonna go for a phenom 955, but according to the benchmarks the 2100 beats it in most things.

Btw, if 500w is "heaps" then what power supply do you think i could get away with?

In your case, 400W PSU is enough for you. I wouldn't settle anything less than 400W though.
