Zotac 580gtx Amp Edition Overclocking

Thread Starter
Has anyone overclocked the Amp edition and is still running stable? I have the 1.5gb version and was wondering if it was possible.

Should be possible. Don't expect anything amazing with reference cooling - but you should be able to push it slightly with no problems.

MSI afterburner is the first place to start, enable "unlock voltage control / voltage monitoring" then check the GTX 580 overclocking club thread.

I have two of these in SLI...I haven't ran into a game that I needed to overclock them....except metro 2033 maxed at 1920x1200....but other than that, all my other games play at 60fps and above

I might just OC my cards once metro the last light comes out...I know generally, GTX 580s can reach 900mhz core with ease....some hit the 950 range and higher....but honestly, Zotac cards are locked from the factory at 85% fan speed...so that right there kinda gives up some cooling...that extra 15% will actually help if you are really trying to get your moneys worth....I know I want all that GPU power when metro the last light comes out...
