Charlotte-Bank of America 500.

Was in Charlotte, NC the past week and wanted to share some shots from the trip. Charlotte is tough to get good shots on track as the cars are backlit most of the day. Overcast skies helped though.

I tried some Lightroom presets and messing with tone curves on a couple of them and I thought they turned out great, but that's probably subjective.

First and foremost, thanks as always to my great friend Landon Cassill who makes this all possible. (1/60 shutter btw, gives the tires a sweet look) Wished he could have done better in the race. Had a great car, just never got track position and its so hard to pass.

Love the green on Mark's car. So bright and so awesome.

I was just playing around in the garage and got this. Pure luck, as there was hardly any daylight left.

And two I processed much more than the others.

And a few more...

And a video shot on my phone from where I watched the race from.

Great stuff, really cool captures. Kind of wish I could find something I was passionate to shoot about and shoot it regularly (you have racing, there's a guy that just started posting that shot 50+ Twins games this year) -- this much shooting (if you stay with it and work at it) just helps you progress so much better...

Thanks man. It would probably help a little bit to have an actual photographer's pass (some cool angles from the photo stands and shooting through the fences) instead of just garage and infield credentials but I'm not about to complain lol.
