I have a PH61A-P35 motherboard from MSI with an intel i5 2500K. I am not able to overclock it other than simply turning on the intel speed boost option. I am able to change the multiplier to a max of 37 (giving a core speed of 3.7mHz) in the BIOS, but using MSI's control center software to check, the core speed is still 3.3mHz despite changing the multiplier. I googled this problem and found someone else with a similar one; they flashed the BIOS and suddenly everything was okay. Ive downloaded the BIOS software from MSI but when i try to open the application, it claims that it doesn't match my 64 bit OS. I'm sure that I'm making some kind of rookie mistake, but i would really appreciate some help.
