Question about phone insurance.

Thread Starter
I hope this isn't too terribly off topic, but I had a quick question about phone insurance. I have an original droid X whose battery is starting to not last very long. I have a full coverage insurance program on the phone and was wondering if for some reason my phone were to get, erm, totaled, what can I expect in terms of getting a replacement?

Would I get another droid x for a deductible fee, or does anyone have any experience with this through Verizon?

That would most likely happen. I have no experience with verizons insurance company, but it might be the same company T-Mobile used. I had a T-mobile MDA that I replaced twice with insurance. 2.5 years later they were giving the same phone because they still had some in stock, I was dissapointed. I don't know verizon (driod) phones, but if it's relatively new there is a good chance that they still have some refurbed models in the warehouse somewhere...

Check out battery prices, it might be cheaper to replace the battery then to pay a deductible depending on what it is.

deductible is like $130 last i checked
not sure how long you've had your droid X but $10/month +$130 to get a refurbed phone doesn't sound like a good deal to me
Getting a new battery sounds a lot more logical to me
