Thread Starter
I have been playing around with my GTS 250, trying to see how far, I could push it. I was wondering if there was anymore I can get out of my card.

GPU clock 738 stock 805 oc
Memory stock 1100 1200 oc
Shader 1782 stock 1944 oc

every card is different, every max will be different, if its stable and you cant go any higher that looks good to me. try overclocking with MSI afterburner.

I can get well over 1900 on the shaders and 1400 on the vRAM, give it a try. By the way I cant push my core over 785

My screen goes crazy if I try to take the card any higher.

I think I had similar clocks on my 9800GTX+. They weren't the best overclockers honestly.

If your current OC is stable the best thing to do is overclock at incriments of 10mhz until you experience instability. Then back it down 5mhz until you find stability. Then I would say 5mhz less would be a solid overclock to hold it at. But it wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't get much more than 738mhz.

Then you might need to volt mod your card(if you really want to overclock to the max. I suggest you leave it there where it is stable.

I was looking into volt modding, but it does not seem worth it to me :/
post #10 of 10
Every vCard is different in PCB and that stuff, for example my Galaxy 250 GTS is clocked on 1100 Mhz, but memorys work in stock to 1200 (is underclocked but Its not a low profile vCard, the pcb have 2 6pin connectors), but in this card I think you cant get a more than ten fps more with voltmod, overclock extreme in this vCard is not recommendable for the stock fan (its much noise with all manufacters for some reason and not cool the vCard much).
