I think we would of heard something about a socket change by now and a couple hundred pages of trolls crying about how Intel changes sockets every year if they were changing it.

1366 is still using the same chipset it launched with, you'd expect the platform taking its spot in the market would do the same

I think Ivy Bridge will be my first foray into the world of Intel. I've had only AMD cpu's since the first computer I ever built myself (a Thunderbird 850. Before that the family PC was a Cyrix 150). I could never justify forking out the cash for intel's products... but now I can't ignore the fact that the money is so well spent. Sorry AMD, you won't keep me unless the faildozer magic bullet fix appears... but I'm not holding my breath.
