Sanity check, please.
Thinking of this:
With a handful of these:
Amazon.com: Western Digital 1 TB RE4 SATA 3 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Enterprise Hard Drive - WD1003FBYX: Electronics
Confident on the drives--but not sure about the following requirement:
"When connecting via eSATA interface, customer's computer hardware needs to have Port Multiplier w/ FIS-based switching in order to access multiple HDDs simultaneously."
I've Googled and found conflicting information. Maybe I go with another RAID enclosure--recommendations? Simply need data redundancy (mirrored) with hot swap. USB 2.0 or eSATA. . .
EDIT: I would like something that is reasonably prices and will accept paired drives up to 2TB each. No need for more than two drives.
