Newegg full list, pricing after rebate

I was wondering about 2GB vs 1GB ram performance. How will 8GB of ram change this.

Are two cards better than one for overclocking? Main reason I am not buying one 450$ card for this build.

Any issues will RAM being overclocked for long periods of time?

And if you want any changes you would make to this build? Most of these parts come recommended or suggest somewhere!

Thanks for reading!

There's already games using more than 4GB of ram...you'd be shooting yourself in the foot for spending 30 bucks on 4GB when you can buy 2x4 GB for 50 bucks.

You can overclock 2 cards just fine.

I'd get this drive instead:

Get a 2GB card, only 20 dollars more and if you game at high resolutions (or do crossfire) you'll have 2GB to use instead of 1GB:

other than that, looks alright.

The only reason I am holding off on the 2GB models if for my res which is supposedly going to be at 1900 x 1200 , wasn't sure if I could use my ram as shared video memory either. With the deals I found on this site (-30 off 2500k!!) It will fit into the budget. Not sure about the drive. The interface is sata 6.0 on the original pick, same cache\\RPM\\size

thanks for the quick reply!

My only recommendation is that you swap out for this power supply. I have this model and it has been PERFECT and never once let me down. Make sure you use the 10% off promo code to get the price to buy down to 98.99. AND... You get $20 off (After rebate...). Did I mention free shipping?

I recommend you spring for a 2GB model if you're at even 1680x1050. You may upgrade in the future, and anything above 1080p truly needs it with the latest games. I have a 2GB 5870 which is about equal to your 6950 minus tesselation, and for 1080p it hasn't skipped a beat.
