Folding and the 280.26 drivers

Thread Starter
So, I finally upgraded from the 266 to the 280 drivers (was going to be playing The Witcher 2), and I've noticed that my 2nd card is acting funky now. :\\

I do have my 460s running in SLI. I have never had an issue with this since I've started folding with them back in January. While 1 card was always behind in a WU from the other, the card is jumping around sporadically. Sometimes, it gets normal TPF, and then all of a sudden, it just poops out. Early, I tried to switch my HDMI to my TV to be plugged into it instead of having both my monitor and TV on one card, hoping for a "dummy plug" solution (only 1 is active at a time, I only switch to the TV to play movies from the computer).

Here is the most recent WU:

With no rhyme or reason, as far as I can tell, the unit is switching between normal TPF ~1:50, and 10+ minutes.

what i noticed with these drivers, whenever i either quit folding or the card drops below 100% for more then a minute, it down clocks to 2d clocks and refuses to go back to what my OC is without a full restart.

I had the same problem with 280.26. 266.58 and 285.27 work perfectly though! 285.38 probably works fine too.

@OP, what drivers have you tried? I've had problems with 275.xx to 280.xx. Try 266.58 WHQL and 285.xx beta drivers if you haven't already. Also, try disabling SLI when you start folding.

The non-BF3 285 drivers are supposed to fix that. I'm on the BF3 drivers and I haven't had that issue yet though.

The new WHQL drivers should be out by Monday.

I really hope all the Folding issues are gone, because those are the ones I'll be using since I'll be playing Battlefield 3.

Well, I was recommended not to use anything newer to 266.58 WHQL as it could cause BSOD's at F@H, and also the cards get stuck at 3D clocks when you close the client unless you restart.
