Yeah I know, my budget is a bit light. Tell me what I can get for that price My sound chip is in my sig.

What I want:

directional sound (I play FPSs competitively)

great sound (Sarah Brightman has to sound her best)

BASS - I listen to a LOT of music, not just her lol (from Britney Spears to Through the Eyes of the Dead and back)

comfort(I have a $40 set right now, but I can't wear them more than an hour>.<

~AND~

a mic. but if they dont have a mic, I am under the impression that I can get a clip on one from Zalman for $10 that is pretty good.

Thanks for your input

Since you play competitively, the AD700s should do.

You'll be able to hear where your enemies are coming from with these.

Oh boy, for some reason I saw $90 as your budge not $70. Maybe increase your budget a little more, they'd be worth it. Plus you have to get a clip on zalman mic for like $8. So around $100.

I hear the Samson SR850 are comparable to the AD700s, at a cheaper price too.

Refurb A700's are $79.99. They have great sound stage for FPS games and pretty good bass as well.

Refurb AD700's are $64.99. These are known to be the best gaming headphones under $150 from what I can remember. The soundstage is silghtly wider than the A700's but they have significantly less bass.

A new AD700 is around $90, and an A700 is $120.

The AD700s sound awesome, except for the lack of bass... I really wish I could try these out for 10 minutes... And even if the SR850s are lacking a little in some places, they are only $50, like 60% the price of the AD700s.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! keep em coming

You aren't going to find anything better than AD700's for gaming under $150. Trust me, you will love them!
