Best Gpu I can get on budget for BF3 - Page 4

If you really want something that isn't going to disappoint you, I would suggest going with a GeForce GTX 460 1GB strictly based on their excellent overclocking capabilities. You can find them on NewEgg for around $130 after mail-in rebate, and would be your best bet to play BF3 on High/Max settings with a smooth frame rate.

I have my own 460 OC'd to 825/1650/2000 with idle temps of 50°C and load temps of 75°C, and I'm pretty sure that's tame compared to what it can max out at before heat becomes an issue. Paired with an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 4GHz there's no game right now that's got it below an average of 40FPS, not even The Witcher 2 with everything maxed except UberSampling. The BF3 beta ran at 60FPS consistently.

What resolution are you playing at?

why not looking at a used card? You can get a 460 for less than 100 on ebay.

Well as long as my PSU can handle it, resolution doesn't matter too much to me, but I would assume a 6670 could handle 1080 gaming no problem? So basically I'll be playing at the highest res I can get about 30fps.

Not sure if that could happen. You would need to upgrade your PSU, the 570 would blow up your power supply lol.

The 460 would be too much for my PSU

I'm definitly looking for used as well, the less I Pay right now the better. But once again a 460 is just too power hungry for my system. Call this thread EXTREME BUDGET BUILDING! lol
