I apologize if I'm mistaking what you're saying. I'm interpreting it as $90 for 1 card and not two. If it were two it'd be a different story.

LOL meant 6870. And if ur gonna hold out till IV makes sence to me.

Local SDer, try getting a used card on the OCN market place best bet for getting something that performs a little better.

If you can get one for $100 that's an amazing deal...
One I wish I would have found. tongue.gif

A 5850 and 6870 seems pretty much the same performance wise but I'd imagine the 6870s having better drivers, power usage, and CFing better.

I honestly can't imagine anything else beating that out for that price. confused.gif

I've personally never seen a 6870 on OCN under $160-ish though.

A 6970 for $190?!?. Used maybe and probably halfway burned out if it's that cheap, and who really wants something somebody else has beaten on and done god knows what to it? The cheapest 6970 on Newegg right now is about $320 after a rebate.

That chart is for Metro at maximum settings, and you will notice that it is within a few fps of a $200 6870, so yes, it IS a good bargain. I would say the 6790s have become THE best bargain in cards right now since they slashed the prices on them a month or so ago.
