Team Red or Team Green? (Budget) - Page 2

I'd say GTX 580 since you don't really need eyefinity and nvidia also has sweet things like CUDA, stereoscopic 3d, physX and in the end it's Nvidia. :

But IMO I think that even 560Ti would suffice and for the difference get some nice cooling and OC that CPU. And for the rest buy two games.

If he can find a place that still has them, what about a 480? They may be last gen but these things are still more powerful than a 570 The one I have is awesome and you can normally find them for around $300.

I would suggest you get a card with more than 1gb of VRAM. Games are using more and more every year. Having a card with 1.5gb or 2gb will serve you better in the years to come, especially if you want to sli/crossfire later on.

Have you looked at the ENGTX570 dcii? Excellent cooling (air, and can get loud at max), but probably the best 570 you can get imho. Requires 3 slots of space instead of the typical 2, and make sure there's enough room in your case (I think its 11 inches).
Open-box deal? jk. But I think EVGA had some. Nevertheless he might also add maybe 40$ and do 2x 560 Ti. But I've always preferred single option myself.

I'm aware. But also I hate nothing more than finding out that an ingame option has been disabled. That breaks my heart.

In the end, it's worth just for Batman: AA if nothing else.

EDIT: My heart is green.

^^Hahah! So true. I don't think I've ever used PhysX and yet the thought of seeing that option disabled in Batman would make me sad.
