Convience parents for a new PC?

Thread Starter
Hey, masters of all thing PC like,

Since all the great games almost upon us, skyrim, BF3, AC revelations etc.

I need a new gaming PC since the current one just sucks big time and is already showing signs of terrible performance.

Problem is, my parents are kinda negative on gaming, thinking it a waste of time and expensive, any suggestions on convincing them to get a new PC for me?

What's your current gaming rig, if its possible to just swap out parts for a performance boost, no point in getting a new PC right? Please provide us with a list. The beauty of PCs is that you can get a performance boost without having to buy a complete rig to replace it.

1) Get a job and say that you will help pay for it, but just can't afford the whole thing what with school and or sports taking up so much of your time

2) If you dont want to get a job then suggest you supply some of your hard saved money (if you are one of the few kids that can save, I never was)

3) A PC can be used for so much more than just gaming, I assume you are at school so you could try to use it for things like learning web design etc.

4) I always used the, I go to school until 5 every day and train 18 hours a week. Other kids are drinking on the street and getting arrested, the least you can do is let me live vicariously through my PC.

Please note that 4 will make them laugh more than convince them!!!!!
