Booting issue Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Thread Starter
Hiya peeps, can any1 tell me if this is something I should be concerned about

I obviously have the P8P67 Deluxe mobo

When I boot from an off position, I can see thru the window on my case that the mobo turns on, all the appropriate LED's light up, fans turn & then all off auto shutdown, does this again, & then on 3rd attempt, boots just fine. Oh must add this is all automatic, I only press the on button once, not 3 times

This has done this on every boot since built & does not have any issues when rebooting from started position

The digital internal clock says 62 when initially booting, then AA when finally booted up fully

Also, when booting (from cold or restart) the quick image with bios data says No Physical Disk

not sure whats meant by that ?

btw, b2 is installation of PCH runtime services & AA says its because system is transitioned into ACPI mode I thought that was o do with SSD but thats AHCI

Now Im confused !

Try setting the timings, MHz, and voltage for the ram you are using.

That's the dreaded Asus P67 cold start problem, dw I had it for a good couple of months, then it just disappeared with a BIOS update.

As for "No Physical Disk", that's refferring to the Marvell SATA controller, no physical disk means you have nothing plugged in to your dark blue SATA 3 ports, it's not a error

oh right, just put up with it for now then, thanks, at least its not something Ive done

I will plug something in the blue one tomorrow, got a 2TB drive coming, cheers

Anyway, I checked timings of mem, they were all as they should be

Bios is actually 1702, only newer ones are beta's & as its a brand new build, I thought I'd stick to normal ones for now

Thanks for the inputs, glad I havent made a boob somewhere, phew is my 1st thoughts lol
