[Newegg.com] Rosewell Mechanical Keyboard w/ Cherry RED Switches, Get a $30 Gift Card

Thread Starter
Purchase a top quality Rosewell mechanical keyboard with cherry MX red switches from newegg and get a $30 giftcard.

Never really understood why MX red keyboards cost so much more than the other switches... I'm pretty sure the switches themselves don't cost more than the others. Maybe it's a rarity thing. Anywho,

Tbh if you are going to buy a mechanical keyboard, use the 40% off coupon on the Steelseries website and get a 6Gv2 for $60.

I tried out reds and I do not like them as much as I like blacks anyway.

6Gv2 is out of stock at Steelseries just tried to buy one with the 40% coupon.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who have the opposite experience. I tend to find black switches a bit taxing if you're not really among the people that press/tap rather forcefully on your keys. Red are much easier for most people to cope with. I don't know what the availability of red switches is now, but there's a reason they tend to cost more, and I see this as a decent price for what you're getting.

Except to some people, the reds are worth every bit of a $60 premium. There is a pretty large difference between reds and blacks. Instead of recommending an entirely different board to people, I'd recommend they figure out what they want first before diving in, or at least to have an open mind when making a purchase so that they don't feel buyers remorse while trying to find the switch that fits them best.

I personally love love love reds.

Now is a Rosewill board worth that much to begin with, compared to another brands red board? I don't know.

I am intrigued by it none the less.

I would get different switches, but I'm afraid that it won't feel right and end up returning it.

I'm with you except I would rather buy it just to return it and get to play with the MX Red switches. For a while there were no keyboards readily available in the U.S. with MX Red switches, makes me want to try one for myself.

Funny, because this keyboard was $99.99 3 days ago when I checked out Rosewill's entire range of mechanical keyboards after seeing the MX blue version go on sale for $99.99 + a $20 GC.
