There was a big ordeal over the iPhone 3GS water damage indicators, and where they were located. They were easy to damage due to them being near the speakers and moisture could set them off, so even in genuine warranty cases people got refused due to this shoddy design aspect.
Im not making this up, google "iphone 4 physical damage warranty" and youll see many ppl have the same experience that i have. I didnt lie, i told the apple tech the truth of what happened. because of this experience, i'll make sure my next phone will be an apple.
