Title says, i'm confused on what to buy as they are on the same price point. Thanks. Gonna use it mostly for games if that counts.

I've had several Seagate drives fail on me (so they are extremely tough for me to recommend), also remember that WDC Blacks are performance drives, so they will be best for games, though I would recommend a Samsung F3 as they are typically cheaper than either one of those with ~ the same speed of the WD.

I've been more on the side of WD for their products. Good reliability and the Caviar Black offers a 5 year warranty. Great RMA , and one of the best desktop drives of it's class.

I've never had a WD go out before I replaced it for larger/faster. The three Seagate HD's I've had(with in the last 10yrs) have failed. Two disc error and one that just stopped one day.

If you want 1.5TB, get Hitachi. WD has Hitachi's HDD department now but I think the deal won't be closed until next year. Hitachi drives perform great.

I would go with the WD Caviar Black 1TB. I have that drive and it is very nice. It performs quite well.
