(Newegg)OCZ 60gb Vertex Plus SSD $48.64 after rebate!

Newegg is selling the OCZ 60gb Vertex Plus SSD for $48.64 after a $10 Mail-In rebate and using the discount code HARDOCP1X19A. I know there's bad "reviews" on Newegg, but I don't give any merit to the reviewers. I picture 90% of those kids trying to shove the square peg into the circle hole! Anyways, that's 81 cents/gb!

I hear that the firmware issues have been fixed. If they have been fixed, it's only a matter of time before consumer faith is restored and the prices go back up.

But even if they haven't been fixed, for the price it's worth the gamble to me (I paid a lot more and mine has been fine).

Like I said, I don't give a lot of merit to any of the problems until I experience them for myself. I mean, look at all the Ati driver complaints and I've used at least 1 or two of them continuously since the dawn of time without a single problem. I'm very tempted!

That SSD is junk. I bought one during a sale, nothing but BSOD's and crashes. Took me 7 tries to get Windows installed... RMA'd, received the new unit DoA... RMA'd, and unit kept getting BSOD's and crashing again...

I am done with OCZ SSD's. This is the 2nd variety of their SSD's I have tried which only gives BSOD's and random crashes.

I returned it. I'm not buying any more of OCZ's junk. Literally every single product I have bought from them so far has had an issue. Literally.

4 different SSD's, and a power supply. All had issues.

I have the 90GB version. Works great. No noticeable difference between high end ssds and a dramatic difference between mechanical drives so it'll be great for anyone who has been waiting to upgrade their traditional drives.

Not a bad price. I got a Solid 3 recently and have had no issues.

I told myself I would not buy a SSD till it was $1/gb, which my Solid 3 was.
I am now waiting for the $0.50/gb mark before I buy another.
