1333 mhz at 1600 mhz timmings

Thread Starter
Hi guys i just got a 4 gb corsair value pack Ram (free in replacement of a 1333 mhz cheapo ram is it was out of stock luck Me) and i wanted to run it at 1600. Currently i m running it at 10-9-9-20 @ 1.65v and it latency is 49.5 in Aida 64 memory benchmark.my question is are the timmings and latency OK for 24/7 use i heard that athlon cpu doesn't support speeds above 1333mhz is it true ????????????? Will this damage my cpu or RAM ????????????? I have fitted a corsair 4 GB 1333 mhz RAM with a Kingston 2 GB 1333 mhz RAM both are 1.5v and CL9
thanx in advance

The CPU's integrated memory controller only officially supports 1333mhz. You can run it as high as you want, it just may not be stable. There is no harm in running it faster, you just might run into stability problems.

1600 CAS 10 @ 1.65v is pretty bad. How have you been testing the memory stability? At around 1.65v or less you should be able to pull of 1600mhz CAS 9 I believe.
