Actually LG manufactures the IPS "Retina" display used in the iPhone 4 and 4S.

The AMOLED screen in my Incredible is great. I can see where text could be crisper, but that's only something I notice when I look for it. I almost prefer watching movies and shows on the little screen because it looks so amazing.

A Super AMOLED plus screen would have been better than anything else, but I'm not going to not buy one because it isn't a plus.

So... will the LG Eye Phone be a better choice? I'm not sure if I'm going to base my purchase based on screen alone. Plus, it's only coming to Bell, and no ICS.

Gotta love all the options we have though. That is, if you step outside the iPhone bubble.

Of course, why would Apple get credit. Everyone knows that it much harder to manufacture things under contract. Apple only puts up all the cash, research and development, marketing, design and takes all the risk.

The iP4 screen currently is the smallest "flagship" phonescreen. It also has the most accurate colors, and the highest ppi.

17 months later, the IP4 still in many ways the best screen out.

Praise to LG then, I stand corrected .

Do you have proof that all the R&D was done by Apple and it wasn't a technology that LG already had that Apple implemented into their phone?

Iphone only has a higher PPI because of its resolution to it's smaller screen. Stretch that to a bigger screen and the PPI drops a little (depending on screen size).

Watch the Iphone5 have a bigger screen and Apple claim it as a new innovation.

Unless they make the resolution even higher. They could go to 1440x960 which would be pretty awesome... 400 PPI.
