It hasn't been officially fixed but there is a workaround detailed in this thread, it doesn't work for every game.

The new resistance game is getting some mediocre reviews.

And onto good news... I get my VITA today biggrin.gifthumb.gif

Edit: Here's the basics of getting the ps1 classics to work

1) Login to your PS3 and Vita using the same ID
2) Download the psp game through the PS3, and transfer it over to the vita using the content manager. Just plug the vita in one of the USB ports on the PS3
3) Enjoy!

I got a PS Vita.

Got Fifa, Uncharted and unit 13

Never played Uncharted before and i think it was a good game with good graphics. Havent played Unit 13 yet but fifa football is good like playing on PS3.

You may want to add UK Prices?

Non-3G: £219.00
With-3G: £269.00

These was taking from the currys website but they are sometimes cheaper where there is special offers. Also i would recommend getting some sort of case or pouch or some for it.

I played Resistance: Burning Skies demo via PS Vita. I can't believe that Resistance: Burning Skies's graphics is OUTDATED. its remind me the version of PSP MOH/ or COD's graphics.. UNIT 13's graphics is 100 time better than RBS.

i am considering getting a wi-fi vita, but have a few questions. are there enough decent games out for it right now? the only ones i see worth my time are uncharted, marvel vs. capcom, and possibly unit 13. i know more are scheduled to come out, but it seems like software is lacking. also, do i have to buy a memory card for the vita? i've heard they are really over-priced. thanks for the help!

The software is lacking right now. But I wouldn't say the Vita is overpriced since it really is an awesome piece of hardware. But the (little amount) software is overpriced I think. If you have some PSP games that you have downloaded then yes (Monster Hunter is awesome on the Vita) since you can remap the buttons to your liking. I read earlier that they are cutting the Vita's price in Europe for a short amount of time with some type of reimbursement to early adopters, kind of like the 3DS.

If you can spare the cash then go for it. Otherwise hold out for more games. I have my eye on Ragnarok Odyssey and Soul Sacrifice. But unfortunately unless you are willing to import games or live in Japan, then you will have to wait quite some time. So all in all, Sony really did deliver on the Vita and made an AWESOME hand held. But they dropped the ball hardcore with their launch line up and lack of titles coming out shortly after launch.

Edit: I beat Uncharted by the end of the first weekend its been out. And unfortunately no other Vita games have caught my interest, so I mostly played Monster Hunter on it. Currently downloading a new chess game that just came out, a little dull...but I like to play lol.

I am strongly considering buying a Vita. But I'm only having one problem. Most of the games I want to play I would have to download from the PSN store. Persona 3/4 and other JRPG's are at the top of the list. But with the 4 gig memory card I'm not going to be able to hold much at all. Even if I upgraded to a 8 gig for 20 bucks how many games would I really be able to hold onto the device?

The memory is making the Vita a very hard buy for me.

I should have tried out the Resistance Demo.

The graphics are super meh.

Uncharted really set the benchmark, yet a golden title like Resistance can't deliver anything close to it.

Dead bodies vanish within seconds.

When the characters talk in-game, they don't even move their mouths.

Multiplayer is just fine, but they REALLY REALLY need to nerf the Shotgun.

It becomes a noob-tube fest in MP.

If I had a chance, I'd trade this is instantly for MGS HD.

Thanks for the honest reviews. I tried the demo and thought it was pretty fun. I understand this cost as much as a console, but it is still a portable gaming machine. I don't expect close to PS3 levels of graphics, just much better than PSP (bought on release day way back then).

The graphics sure are meh, but it's kind of the style of this game, old retro type feel to it since the story is supposed to take place in the 50s. I do agree that unit 13 looks much better, hell unit 13 is basically a striped version of socom. I thought I was bored of it but I went back and played some and wow. It is just so tactical, completely the opposite of CoD. I love that fact, you actually had to use tactics and skill to win.

I guess I'll hold off until another FPS hits the scene. E3 is right around the corner. Hopefully Sony has a bunch of killer titles saved, or else the vita is doomed. I won't be getting MGS, already have it for PSP and PS3, exactly the same and honestly the graphics don't differ TOO much. They're fun but I want a true FPS.

Resistance demo short as it may be felt sweet. I can't wait to enjoy more FPS on the vita.
