The software is lacking right now. But I wouldn't say the Vita is overpriced since it really is an awesome piece of hardware. But the (little amount) software is overpriced I think. If you have some PSP games that you have downloaded then yes (Monster Hunter is awesome on the Vita) since you can remap the buttons to your liking. I read earlier that they are cutting the Vita's price in Europe for a short amount of time with some type of reimbursement to early adopters, kind of like the 3DS.
If you can spare the cash then go for it. Otherwise hold out for more games. I have my eye on Ragnarok Odyssey and Soul Sacrifice. But unfortunately unless you are willing to import games or live in Japan, then you will have to wait quite some time. So all in all, Sony really did deliver on the Vita and made an AWESOME hand held. But they dropped the ball hardcore with their launch line up and lack of titles coming out shortly after launch.
Edit: I beat Uncharted by the end of the first weekend its been out. And unfortunately no other Vita games have caught my interest, so I mostly played Monster Hunter on it. Currently downloading a new chess game that just came out, a little dull...but I like to play lol.
