So I have owned my Vita for about two months now and I have loved every second of it. I play it daily and I can honestly say that I haven't had a single issue with comfort. I recently saw one of these at Gamestop and the thought of it intrigued me, especially at the $15 price point. I decided that I would pick one up the next day. In hindsight I have to say that this might be the best $15 I ever spent.
The Vita is advertised as a console gaming experience on the go. This trigger grip only exemplifies that by transforming the Vita from a well shaped gaming tablet with physical buttons to a device that really captures the controller input of a console. It's really amazing at how much better the Vita instantly feels with this grip installed.
The two palm contacts at the base do exactly what they are designed to do and mold into your palms perfectly. At the same time they are pretty low profile and aren't nearly as fugly as some of the other controller style grips I have seen around. They also give you a fantastic area to rest your hands, completely out of the way of the touchpad so you never bump it when you don't mean to. Then of course you have the triggers that resemble 360 triggers or the new PS4 triggers. Again they feel very ergonomically pleasing and house their own springs instead of relying simply on the Vita's buttons. This makes for flawless operation that feels like button quality of any top brand controller manufacturer.
You install the grip by simply sliding the top of the Vita into it and then snapping down the bottom portion. It's pretty much instantaneous. It's snapped on solid enough that it's not going anywhere unless you actually want to remove it. Removal is again almost instant and a breeze to do.
Now I will say that it does add a bit extra bulk to the Vita. Up until this point I have used the travel pouch to carry around the Vita. It can still fit by sliding the Vita in upside down but it will not zip up. The Vita barley fit into my pockets beforehand and with the grip on that is a complete no go. So you defiantly lose a bit of the portability of the Vita. I'm also a pretty big fan of the Vita "naked" so to speak. It looks really sleek just by itself. Sadly that factor is slightly diminished when the grip is on. It still looks good, it's just missing that smooth sexiness that the Vita is known for.
So you lose a bit of the portability and the sexiness with the grip. Those few flaws aren't really excuses not to buy the grip considering how cheap it is and how easy it is to install and uninstall it. If you really don't want to have to deal with it then please do NOT try it. Once you do there is no going back.

Ebay. That's where I've gotten both my 16gb and 32gb.
Craigslist might be a good place to check in your area too. That's where I've gotten both my roommate and my personal Vita, both in practically brand new condition for around $120 each.Edited by Outlawed - 11/5/13 at 6:26pm
