Hey Vita owners!

I heard there are two models of PS Vita? One with the OLED and the other with LCD? So if I am going to the store to make a purchase, how do I know which one I am buying?

Thanks if you can help!

Original model Vitas all have OLED, while the Vita Slims are the ones with the LCD screen.

AFAIK, Slim models aren't out in US yet, so as long as you live in the US, you will be buying the original OLED version. If you live in a place that has both models, look at the box and the model number. If the model number is PCH-2000 or PCH-200X (X substituted for a number), the model will be the slim version. If it is PCH-100X, then it is the original OLED. Another indicator are the start buttons, they are circular on the new slim Vita while they are oval on the original OLED. smile.gif

I just can't stand the vita anymore since i got probably 6 digital games from psn plus i can't use due to the darn small 16gb space...

Most recommended is Persona 4 Golden. Other fun RPGs that I personally loved is line of Atelier games. smile.gif

Most games I play hasn't been localized to US or EU so no english version, if you happen to know Japanese, I'll send you a list of games in a PM if you're interested. smile.gif

Right, but what I am trying to say is, if I walked into the store and looked at the box and want to make a purchase. How will I know which model I am purchasing? Will it say "Original OLED PS VITA" on the box and the other will say "PS VITA LCD Ver." on the box? That's what my question is implying. Or is there some serial number I am supposed to look on the box to be able to tell the difference?

Edit: Nevermind, Swag just answered my question. Thank you!!!

Wow digging up my old post, haha.

Yeah I haven't picked up a Vita yet, but I'm liking the slim redesign. I was kind of sad to hear that Sony was dropping the OLED screen but after looking at some comparison videos the LCD doesn't look too bad, so I've come around on that.

The Vita also seems to be gaining some traction with games; I'm sure it'll be a powerhouse by the end of its life like the PSP, but I'm enjoying my 3DS way too much right now and the prices of those memory cards sure are painful to swallow. redface.gif (I've got two MicroSDs in an adapter for my PSP).
