Uncharted really suprised me. I had no interest in playing the series I just wanted to play my vita. Im not sure if it were my low expectations or the fact thats its a decent game. Maybe a bit of both. Ive had some fun experiences with Wipeout, though I wouldnt suggest anyone buy it...hahaha.

I bought my Vita today along with Uncharted and Fifa football. My first impression is excellent, the screen is phenomenal and having two sticks on a portable is a game-changer. Overall spectacular hardware and ultra sexy appearance make for an excellent console to carry along.

I downloaded a bunch of demos and I am really enjoying most of them, greatly build with provisions to make use of the vita's new control schemes. Fifa is amazing and I havent ecen tried Uncharted yet which I am sure will also blow me away. Overall I thing it justifies its high price and it can only get better as devs learn the ins and outs of the hardware and push it to its limits.

Good news on FFX, it's getting an HD release on Vita and PS3.

Yeah thats good news, but too be honest i think it should have all been done and sorted before the release. thats not good news about FFX thats GREAT news, i hope they do the same with FFXII i know its not everyones fa but i still like it smile.gif

I feel robbed

So i brought a PSP 3k for £45 (£10 express del) just coz i thought i could trade my GT PSP cars to GT5 GT mode, But i cant..... fffffffffff

Total cost was £45+ 20 for memory card + i spent like £40 on games (that can be used with ps vita too so i had that sussed)

But at least i can play my PS1 games :3

I want to buy a ps vita as i have money burning a hole still, But its just to silly, Analog nubs stick out, 5 hour battery life compared to my 8 on psp 3k standard battery pack, No gorilla glass, Silly trackpad and silly touch screen.

i would much rather get one when the slim or go type models release.

I dunno about you, but my favorite PSP was the original fat one. I like to know I'm holding something. This thin madness has to stop. People, put down the double cheese, pick up a weight. If handheld is too heavy, you got more problems.

The rear touchscreen is awesome, I really enjoy using it. Scrolling with it just feels so natural and makes things easier. Like it or not touchscreens are here to stay. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and remember I didn't get a single game when I first bought it. I'm currently enjoying unit 13, F1 2011 and uncharted. Unit 13 is amazing, I love these tactical shooters that involve more skill than run and gun. Really reminded me of rainbow six vegas, that series was pure awesomeness. Can't wait for resistance to come out! A real FPS is needed on the system.

So in return & I mean no offense by this instead of buying a Vita which is graphically amazing. You go and buy a PSP which is no where near the level of the Vita? Not trying to diss you or your logic but the Vita is amazing, The analogs are a dream, The screen & graphics are beautiful. The Rear touch pad is awesome IMO. I could not be happier with my Vita. It does need some work with getting more games & more PSP playable games on it.

I really cant see any Slim models being released. This thing is pretty slim, light & with the rear touch pad I just cant see them being able to make it any thinner. its your choice & your money of course but I can only tell you from my experience the Vita is pure sex

While I'm in the camp of liking the PSP1000, I don't like the PS Vita's ergonomics. It's not as easy to hold, it's buttons are that silly click-click kind (metal dimple) rather than the more substantial kind used on the PS 6axis and xbox360 controllers, it's weight distribution means it's not easy to hold lying down, nor is it light enough to hold for long periods of time.

Sure, the obnoxious "lift weights," comments are always thrown around, however, I'm fine with holding my laptop for 45min+ standing up at airports (Vaio SA - 3.8lbs or so), however, it's a laptop, and I cannot get away from it's functionality. The PS Vita, on the other hand, is a portable, handheld gaming device. It's overweightness may be comparible to a ~650g ebook reader (watch someone take that litterally). Sure, it's light for a 10" tablet (actually, in this case, my iPad 2), however, it's needlessly overweight for an ebook reader, where something like the Kindle Touch would be vastly superior.

The PS Vita is a bit on the heavy side, in addition to being bad on ergonomics. Maybe my hands are too large (I can easily hit an octave on a piano), maybe it's due to the silly decision to put a backscreen touchpad instead of putting a better fit backside (like the humps on the PSP 1000), who knows? Either way, I love my Vita, but not enough to really care for it.

If you think Vita is on the heavy side...... I really don't know what to say to you. I remember my very first thought about Vita is how light it was.
