Help with gaming headset

Thread Starter
I've been trying to find a good gaming headset to pick up as my current ones are failing. I was looking at these three and wondering if anyone had some experience with them.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1A
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826816002
(These seem great aside from the fact I hear bass isn't that great, but amazing for gaming. Its 50$ right now if I order before the 22nd as well.)

RAZER Carcharias
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153043
(I've heard the mic sometimes pick up sounds from the headset which is making me worry about these.)

Creative Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MKII
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826158081

Any opinions on these would be appreciated or if someone has a strong opinion about another headset. Thanks.

Ive just bought a RAZER Carcharias and Im happy with them so far.

Ive not heard anything I wasnt supposed to with them. The sound is clean and crisp and they are very comfortable.

I have a set of the Fatal1ty's, but MARK I. They sound really good for the price, but my complaints are that the mic picks up my breathing and they hurt my ears after only an hour or so.

BUT, the MKII seems to have addressed this issues. Judging from the pictures in your link, the cans look much bigger, which would fix the hurt-ear problem I have with the original model.

I would like to add that the bass on them sounds surprising good, so as long as the sound has stayed the same or gotten a little better, they look like a good buy.

I have the creative Fatal1ty MK11. Its great. Lightweight, and very comfortable. The earcup works great to block out outside noisy. For 50$, I would get it. I paid $80 when I bought it.

I know theuy are not on your list but i just got the Plantronics Gamecom 777 Surround Sound 7.1 Gaming Headset USB
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=15283

They are fantastic. The sound is great, it's very clear and the surround is as basically as good as my old Logitech 5.1 speaker set up.
They are also very comfortable.

Thanks for the opinions.

Also to note, the more I read around it seems the Corsair ones work the best and eliminates most of the complaints about them when paired with a sound card. This works great as my mobo has onboard Creative SoundBlaster X-FI.

Sigh, damn impulse buying and the blind leading the blind. Depending on budget, a soundcard + stereo headphone + separate mic is much better.
