OCN and micro center FTW

Just want to let you guys know between here and micro center my bosses computer is about finished on the cheap. Ill give you guys a run down of what i got and for how much. I have to say AMD is still where price vs. performance is for me.

From OCN I bought a 600 wat psu for 40 bucks. Also picked up 2x2 gig sticks of ddr3 1333mhz from ocn member for 20 dollars shipped.
I also have recieved priceless info and i than the community for that.

Went to micro center last night to buy a amd x4 840 for his rig for 60 dollars. While looking around i saw a sign that said free asus motherboard if i buy select amd cpus so the 955 was one of the cpus. Ofcourse they were out of them and the 965. So after telling the guy we drove 1hour 45 min to get there they agreed to sell us the amd phenomII x4 970 for 120 and still get the motherboard for free.
So got mobo and the 970 for 120 dollars
picked up a antec 200 case for 25 dollars

So my grand total on this rig so far is 200 dollars.
I had a extra harddrive and old dvd burner from an old dell.
Id like someone to make a sandy bridge for that price. lol

Only thing left is a video card have a 8800gt in rig currently till i can find a open box 6870/50 for about 100 bucks.

So iam hoping to finish this rig for about 300 dollars total.
It hasent been easy finding deals like this but a happy boss means less work for me.

Im looking to build a computer whered u get the x4 965 for $110. its a pretty nice build im looking to get something similar. Surprised you get a 6870 for $89. The only real difference between mine will be that im getting a am3+ motherboard since it has room to replace the cpu.

Bought it off ebay bnib. the 6870 i paid 109 for and got a 20 dolar mail in rebate that brought it down to 89 dollars. You can pick up 6870/50s for 110 all the way down to 82 on newegg if you can catch the openbox deals.

Good deal, keep in mind the 965/970/980 is basically a 955 with a higher factory overclock. The 955 is $120 on newegg, right now btw.
