Yes upping the volts will allow you to raise the frequency and lower the timings. I would probably go with the Sniper's lot of OC'ing headroom for a good price. Ripjaws look better though. Also from my experience most 1600 ram defaults to 1333, you just have to set it manually in BIOS and should work fine though at stock volts.

It depends on what IC's the low volt sniper are using. I know that some of these low volt IC's that manufactures use don't actually overclock all that well. Even with 1.5-1.65V. I would just go for a 1.5v kit.

So has anyone had any experience with the 1.25V G.Skill kits? Do they overclock very well?
