Cold boot, Asus welcome screen repeating?

Thread Starter
From a cold boot with my sig rig Im getting the Asus welcome screen 3 times over before its go's on with the boot. I have no clue whats causing it or how to fix it. Is it a known problem? Is there a fix for it? I just got the rig put together and it taking an extra 10 seconds to go through the welcome screen(s) is really getting on my nerve.

I've only heard about the problem a few times, I haven't really looked into it heavily. But I'll try to find some info for you

Turn raid rom off in the bios. If you currently get three youll end up with only two.
Unless you have a software raid setup this should do it.

I think it's obvious that you need to update the BIOS
Edit: yes UEFI it has the same job.

I had that problem with the P8Z68-M Pro. I think it is the automatic power adjustment for the CPU. Not sure though. I ended up sending the board back and getting a maximus. works flawlessly.

lots of sandy bridge boards re-boot during POST multiple times if the CPU is overclocked and especially if BCLK is overclocked at all.

its just how it is
