I've thought about it. I had a disastrous water cooling experience back in '06 so I have kind of steered away from it. Any recommendations on systems?

im on a custom loop so have a lot of components, you can get 1x 240mm and 2x 120mm rads in this case might be worth trying to put your water cooling demons to bed lol thumb.gif

I was looking at getting that RAM fan, how do you like it?

love it. been on my computer all day and haven't had my MOBO temp go over 36deg. That's even after playing Deus X smile.gif

Seems like this case is under-appreciated (compared to all the other case popularity)

I was looking around inside while waiting on my video card RMA and I'm starting to realize all the great features that I took for granted

the hinged door really is nice. opening the case isn't annoying anymore - I don't have to get up, slide a panel back, and pull it away (and check for cables to the side panel fan)

the hot-swap tray looks cool and I think is the best implemented so far (I've been out of the PC game for a while though)

I can barely tell a difference when fans are on high or low speed. it's quiet either way

only annoyance is how the LED colors reset and don't remember the color. Maybe I'll just run without them completely

I wish I could find a way to fit the top fan into the 5.25" area. I have a H100i at the top, and I just use the hot-swap bays for all my hard-drives, so it's asking to be used as a tunnel for more air-flow (but I have no other fans on hand atm)

bump for more owners/pics!

I finished my setup (for now) and over time I've just started to like this case more and more

I got the 200mm top case fan mounted with industrial-grade velcro to my 5.25" bay area (don't have anything there, don't feel the need for a DVD drive)

got another 120mm from a local Altex - Cooler Master Excalibur. I wanted something better, but I went in the store to get thermal paste and felt the difference can't be _that_ big. decently impressed so far despite very few reviews on this fan

switched my H100i to pull on top - I think having a universal flow/exhaust direction is better - hence the 120mm on the bottom pushing up and the 200mm pushing from front to back

and got some Artic Silver finally. was running without thermal paste when I first put it together

IDLE
CPU - Xeon E5-2670 - 31C
GPU - MSi GTX670 Power Edition - 32C

Let's see how it handles load while gaming, and how much noise I'll tolerate to cool them. all factory clocks

only gripe is I wish I could turn the LEDs off permanently. Don't think they fit the "rugged" styling of the case

You can pull the little led wires soldered onto the fans and they won't light up the case anymore. That's what I did with mine

thanks, I'll take a look later. are the wires color-coded to identify easily?

I just tried pulling out the connector from the LED button, which didn't work frown.gif

on a related note, I'm impressed that Thermaltake even used higher-quality fans for the case - not just some cheapo-generics that are intended to be replaced

3 straight rounds of BF3
Max Temps
CPU - 40C
GPU - 64C

Not a single fan (besides GPU, I didn't pay attention to what speeds it was reaching) was above 1800rpm. Very impressed!

Yes there colour coded. If you look at the picture I've posted above you'll see this litlle blue wire I just pulled that out and now the case starts without any LEDs on since the case turns on with the blue led. You could remove the green and red one too or leave them so you always have the option of switching to those two colours if you want .

are you implying they're all hooked up in series? (so I just need to disconnect it on one of the case fans)

and did you actually "pull"? looks like it's soldered onto the fan board, but either way, I don't think I'll care too much if I have to cut; re-soldering if I ever need them back
