No you have to do it with each fan but what I'm saying is that the only one you really have to disconnect is the blue one since that is the first colour the fans are set to when the computer turns on an yes I just pulled that one wire lol tongue.gif

blegh, that will be fun to dig around

has anyone tried changing the power button LED color?

the only thing that really ticks me off is the color mismatch with the Power LED from the LED color choices

anyone have ideas for 5.25" bays these days though? I just don't see the need for a DVD drive, the hoses for the H100i are too short to mount on the front, and I don't see a need for a fan controller for just one slot when the H100i and the case buttons offer it already

I considered some kind of water cooling for the video card, but I feel some of the money that went into the MSi Power Edition was into the cooler, and would be wasted

then again, I've thought about getting a higher end card, but the money I'd lose from selling used kills me X.X

I have been wanting to change the led for the power button for forever I just don't know how since I've never soldered anything. If you look back that was actually my first question in this thread tongue.gif the colour scheme for this case has really pissed me off and its something that I think thermaltake did a very sloppy job of handling. You have a black case with a red line going through it and the default colour scheme for the fans is blue it doesn't make any sense lol. I was also mad because in a lot of promotional shot of the case the power button is red so its basically false advertising
End rant tongue.gif

agreed x8275923847984719847

it makes me think this case was meant to be blue, which makes me want to change my headset/keyboard/mouse which are red LEDs. really really bugs me arghhhh

so I realized when looking around that the power button is just pushed inwards by the outer button, they're not connected. the actual switch is just a clear button, so you can easily cover up the blue LED. I just used simple electric tape - no more blue LEDs! biggrin.gif (I don't care that it doesn't light up, it's pretty easy to tell if the computer is on/off

but I don't see how you just "pulled" out the blue wire for LEDs. I gave them a good tug with tweezers and they definitely feel soldered on both sides...though I'm coming close to just cutting them anyway. if the next owner realllllly wants them back I guess I could solder it all back together

the fan infront of the hot swap bays feels a bit weak for my tastes, so I think it's time to add another in pull on the other side

That's funny because I did the exact same thing as you I had a old bristle board lying around and I cut a little square and just taped it onto the power button tongue.gif
That's really all I did there was a point where the wire was soldered onto the pcb of the fan and I just pulled until it came off.
I'm actually considering putting a radiator on the other side of the hot swap bay it actually perfect for that

If you look at the side panel on the inside you'll see there are screws just unscrew them and the whole bump thing at the outside portion of the side panel will pop out

I'm really torn here...give me some ideas

so I want to add some extra cooling/fans with all the dead space in my setup

- I am not using any 5.25" bays; this is enough room for 1 120mm fan and 1 device
- 1 more fan at the bottom next to the PSU
- 1 more fan on the other side of the hard drives; the front fan's flow/pressure feels "ok", but I feel there's potential to keep the flow of the front intake with a second fan here

there's the 200mm, former top exhaust fan (h100i took it's place). I can either fit this behind the drive bay area or behind the HD area
1: Behind the 5.25" area - but I'm not seeing much use of placing it behind the 5.25" area, as the H100i is handling the cooling on the CPU
2: Behind the HD area - Placing it behind the hard drives allows some video card cooling (670 GTX SLi), but it feels like a relatively low pressure fan. since a fan here needs to draw fan through the hard drive area, so a high pressure fan could be better suited here - BUT this 200mm puts out some serious airflow on it's own......
so which is better? I'm leaning towards option 1 because the Level 10 GT HD cage setup seem pretty restrictive, leaving less air for the second fan - but again, the 200mm puts out so much air on it's own...

as for front the 5.25" area, I'm not sure what device to fill the 5.25" bay with.
1 - I don't have a DVD drive, but I don't see the value with one these days with everything (esp games) being digital downloads.
2 - Fan controller (thinking of the NZXT Sentry Mix), but I'm not sure if I would even use it since CorsairLink provides better control, and I don't see how I could add 6 more fans to the system and the case fans are already on it's own controller

Really not sure here, so many options tongue.gif
