[PA] First Apple iPhone 4S T.V. ad features Siri

So what puts the "S" in the Apple iPhone 4S? How about Siri, Apple's voice activated "personal assistant"? Sure, there is the A5 dual core chip and the 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, the notifications screen, stock ticker and a few other features that are all new on the latest iteration of Apple's touchscreen handset. But the one thing that everyone seems fixated on when discussing the Apple iPhone 4S is Siri.

Here we go...I just hope they dont overkill this app, and say its revolutionary and never been done before.

iPhone commercials are tolerable, but Apple's "Mac vs. PC" commercials were ridiculous, and bordered on outright lies, or at least being completely misleading.

After having used Siri, I can say that they're off to a decent start, but it's still too limited to be extremely useful. Half the questions I would ask it, it cannot understand or handle. It does stuff like read your text messages to you, which is nice if you're driving and receive one, but won't read your emails to you. Both are text, I don't see what the problem is.

You gotta give apple credit for their advising, I've never once seen an Apple commercial that I haven't been impressed with. That new Siri feature looks pretty cool too, I wonder how useful it actually is. Hopefully android gets a siri of its own.

Lol I went to check this out at the local ATT store. As I was comparing both the SGII and the 4S, a rep comes and asks if I need help. So I ask, which phone would you recommend I cant decide? He goes "well I think iphone is the better choice because of Siri". I ask but "whats so special about Siri, the SGII can do the same stuff". And he says with puppy eyes "but she talks back to you". I swear I face palmed so hard I just walked out of embarrassment hahahha

Android has had a "siri of its own" for ages. It's called Vlingo.

so this makes you feel better because you know about technical specs rather than selling features. which btw, I'm sure you spoke to a salesperson and not a tech specialist.

But the app doest even perform that well, ad is misleading imo. it takes 3-4 tries to get it to work.
